Los Angeles County's South Bay communities offer an outstanding quality of life amidst a thriving economic engine. The area hosts some of the biggest names in the region's key industries along with some the most prestigious residential addresses in the Southland.

Blessed with a temperate coastal climate, the South Bay enjoys cleaner air, warmer winters, and cooler summers than surrounding areas.

Central Los Angeles

Central Los Angeles is undergoing a metamorphosis as over $10 billion in private investment is fueling a major economic revitalization.

In recent years, the City's center has seen an explosion of residential building that has made Downtown a vibrant 24/7 center of activity. Two new privately-funded billion dollar developments are reinventing the area. LA LIVE is a vast complex incorporating major entertainment venues, a 1,000-room convention hotel along with luxury residences, restaurants, and clubs. Grand Avenue, on Bunker Hill, when completed will incorporate 400,000 square feet of retail space, a 16-acre park, residential units, and a luxury hotel.

In addition, the Hollywood area is undergoing a major rebirth with billions more being invested in residential and commercial projects including several high rise condominium developments, a new W Hotel, and the Hollywood and Highland retail complex, which includes the Hollywood & Highland Theatre, home of the Academy Awards.

 Gateway Cities

Los Angeles County's Gateway Cities cover a crescent of land along the southeast edge of the County, bordering nearby Orange County. This diverse collection of 27 cities and communities represents some of the area's most delightful neighborhoods as well as many thriving industrial and manufacturing areas.

The region is best known for its international trade facilitated by the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles where an amazing 14 million containers of cargo are transported in 2011.

With such a large container volume handled through the ports, the area's importance as a logistics and warehousing center is evident. Trucking and transportation are also big contributors to the economy, complemented by two rail yards that are located within the region. However, sometimes people feel a lack of money because of unstable economy and don't know where can I get a $500 loan in San Bruno or Los Angeles.

So, such an advantage influence positively just on the country and city. Burlington Northern Santa Fe's (BNSF) rail yard is located in the City of Vernon and the Union Pacific Railroad switches cars in the City of Commerce. An intermodal transfer facility is located in North Long Beach, which provides additional transportation capabilities.

The area's seaside communities, including Catalina Island and Long Beach (home of the Queen Mary) are major tourist draws. Long Beach Airport is a popular alternative to LAX and is the Southern California terminus for the popular JetBlue airline.

San Fernando Valley

San Fernando Valley

Comprised of nearly 350 square miles of prime southland real estate, the San Fernando Valley is home to more than 1.8 million residents. About 80 percent of the San Fernando Valley is actually part of the City of Los Angeles, but the Valley also includes other independent cities which are attractive locations for business: Burbank, Calabasas, Glendale, Hidden Hills, and San Fernando.

As the Valley's population grew in the 20th Century so did the region's business opportunities. One of the earliest industries to arrive in the Valley was film making and today this "Valley of the Stars" is the center of motion picture and television production in America. Disney, Warner Bros., Universal Studios, and Dreamworks Animation are all headquartered here. ABC, CBS, and NBC, as well as several cable networks, also have major facilities in the Valley. This multi-billion dollar economic engine supports countless allied companies and creative professionals who showcase their art from here. However, entertainment is far from the only star that lights up the San Fernando Valley's economy.

South Pasadena - Los Angeles, California

San Gabriel Valley

Located just east of Downtown Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley offers an outstanding quality of life and great business environment.

The 31 cities and 5 large unincorporated communities of the San Gabriel Valley cover an area of 400 square miles with almost 1.8 million residents. This dynamic region offers a variety of lifestyles and business opportunities.

From the smaller foothill communities and historic centers such as the City of San Gabriel with its centuries old mission to its bigger gateway cities such as Pasadena, the San Gabriel Valley offers some of the best of Southern California.

The San Gabriel Valley is home to leading educational institutions including the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly). The list also includes the University of La Verne, Azusa Pacific University, the Claremont Colleges, Art Center College of Design, and three outstanding community colleges.

Leading research facilities include NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the City of Hope Medical Center. Cultural icons such as the Rose Bowl and its annual New Year's celebration in Pasadena, the Huntington Library and Gardens in San Marino, Arcadia's Arboretum, and La Cañada's Descanso Gardens are also located in the San Gabriel Valley.
Many popular sports and entertainment complexes are found in the San Gabriel Valley including Arcadia's Santa Anita Park (horse racing), the Fairplex in Pomona, and the Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.

These outstanding assets have attracted top executives, dedicated professionals, adventurous entrepreneurs, and a strong workforce who are ready to contribute to the growth of the local economy.
